Expo Agro Johor

Expo Agro Johor was an event conducted every two years by Johor State Goverment to promote agriculture sector. It was organised with the Farmers Day activities and targeted to boost agricuture sector in Johor as one of the economic earner by the goverment and the farmers. Johor is the largest producer of Poultry, Fresh vegetable, cut flowers, matured iol palm and Aquaculture fish in Malaysia for many years. Their stragegic location to export and comitment of commercial agrculture players made Johor as Food Producrs to the nation. This year the expo was conducted at Modern Agriculture park at Kluang where about 4,000 hectar of land was developed with food crop, livestock, fisheries and processing activities by 14 companies.

Activities in the Expo Agro Johore includes Farmers Conference, Convention, Exposition, Farm Visits, Farm Product Competition, Product Promotion and Demonstration, Cooking Event, Sales of Agriculture Produce, New Technology Promotion, R&D Information, Opening and Closing ceremony and many other. Food Processing activities in Johor is one of the most successful project under Department of Agriculture in which more than 1,200 entrepreneurs in Agro based Industry produce more than RM 140 million anually took part in the event.


Opening ceremony was launched by Menteri Besar Johor and Closing Ceremony by Minister of Agriculture Malaysia five days later. More then 10,000 visitors visit the Expo Agro Johor from Johor, Singapore and neighbouring State such as Melaka, Pahang , Negri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur.
